What I liked the most is that Natural Approach is aimed to develop communicative skills on beginning learners such as little kids, in fact teaching english to children is what I would like to do when I start working as a teacher. The way that I undersand the Natural Approach is this: As we walk through the path of learning a new language we NATURALLY get knowledge about that language. For example simple words like car, dog, cat. We get familiarized with simple words and they are naturally added to our vocabulary, as simple as that.
check a little about the Natural Approach
That's right Edward. I really like this method because is based on the idea to develop communicative skills on beginning learners such as children, or other people that want to leran a second language.
ResponderEliminarIn the Natural Approach, the language output is not forced, it means that the speech comes slowly and is never forced. In the Natural Approach the teachers using the natural approach aim to create situations in the classroom that are motivating for students, and for me it is a good method because the learners enter the early speech stage. :)
thanks for your comment Velkis, and so about "beginner learners" would you like to teach behinners or advanced learners?
EliminarMmmm! it is a good question Eduard! I would like to teach beginner learners because I think that it is easier to teach them.
EliminarWhat you say is true. the natural approach occurs when we learn many things about our environment and sometimes, we do not realize that we have learnt a lot of new things. This learning occurs in children for example, a child can learn how to communicate with people, and he or she does not know anything about grammar for instance, children do not know what is a direct object or adverbs.
ResponderEliminarThis method accurs with or without the presence of a teacher! we naturally learn things anywhere, anytime!
Eliminari like this method because focuses on input, comprehension, and meaningful communication and puts less emphasis on grammar. learners are not required to say anything until they feel ready, but they are expected to respond to teacher commands and questions.
ResponderEliminarOf course Edu this method is perfect for children because you show then and they learn i really like this method.
